Favorite Photo from Our Weekend!!!

What a wonderful refreshing weekend. Sadly, it only included Jason and Sage. (Sami was at a horse show at the Kentucky Horse Park and Jarred had to work both of his jobs. He is temporarily detasseling corn for 2 weeks as well as working at his "normal" job at Bob Evans.)

So anyway... we left on Thursday afternoon, only to arrive in MI late as dark was setting in. We visited a bit with Grandma and Grandpa and returned to Dave's cousin's trailer to unpack and settle in.

On Friday, Dave and I went to Sturgis MI to go to Walmart. Jason was in need of new shoes so we went looking. In addition to the shoes, we found the most spectacular scrapbook store I've ever been in. Magic Memories. Go there is you are near! LOL!

The remainder of the weekend was spent watching the kids swim, ride bikes, campfires and fun spending time with grandparents. Dave and I are getting older in our thoughts these days. We were remembering his uncle's death a couple years ago. His grandson asked Dave at the funeral home - "Who's going to take me shark fishing now?" Dave posed a question to me as we were going to sleep last night... "Who will take them to MI when she is gone?" (She being Dave's mom.)

Sad to think that some day she will be gone. We have often discussed as parents that we need to continue to provide our younger children the same "childhood" that we gave the others. MEaning that we aren't going to spend vacations off by ourselves, still throw ball with them, etc etc etc. So anyway... our older children spent tons of their childhood summer weekends with Grandma and Grandpa in MI. I pray that the younger ones have many years left with Dave's mom.

Man... this blog entry wonders... but hey if you think like me, you know that I can't seem to talk straight from this point to that! LOL!

Have a great day and thanks for reading this.
